We WELCOME you to Christ Lutheran Church this Sunday morning. There are children’s quiet bags located under the mail boxes that may be borrowed during the worship service and returned to the pegs following the service.

Prayers for Edna Maixner (Peg Lemburg’s mom), Edna underwent triple bypass surgery Aug. 21 in Lincoln NE and has developed complications. Edna had surgery Mon Aug. 26 to remove part of her left colon and now with the buildup of several extra pounds of fluid, she has been put on dialysis.
Prayers for Becky Deines recovering from gall bladder surgery last week.
Prayers for Steve Hansen’s mother, Jeanette who is hospitalized in GI in ICU.

No! Not Christmas! It’s choir time again!! ♫
Next Wednesday, September 12, will be our first rehearsal at 6pm! Please invite anyone you know that may be interested in singing with the greatest bunch of people in the Tri County area!! I’m looking forward to another great year of music with you all!

HLHS NEWS – Mark your Calendars!
Blood Drive at HLHS – On Wednesday, September 19th from 8:30a-2:30p, the Heartland Lutheran National Honor Society Students will be hosting a Blood Drive for the Red Cross. Please consider coming in to make a donation and helping them reach their goal of over 30 usable units –reaching 30 usable units will make HLHS students eligible for a Scholarship through the Red Cross. So your donation will not only help the Community but HLHS students as well. Please Contact the HLHS office at 308-385-3900 for a donation time. The 21st Annual Red Hornet Golf Scramble will be held at Indianhead Golf Course on Sunday, September 30th. Lunch served at 12:00 pm, Shotgun Start at 1:00 pm, and Dessert & Awards at 5:30. Hole prizes and cash prizes to top teams in two flights! $400 per team. Call the school office at 308-385-3900 to sign up. More information and registration sheets for the golf tournament are located on the HLHS Bulletin Board located in the fellowship hall. Heartland Lutheran High School Craft Fair – HLHS will host a Craft Fair on October 7, 2018 from 11:00a-3:00p. We will be in need of crafts, quilts, and other homemade items. We will also be in need of cookies/goodies. All proceeds go toward tuition assistance. If you have things to donate, please contact the school office. 308-385-3900 or
Update: The Mercy Meals event on Sept 23 at HLHS has been rescheduled to take place on Nov 18.

The Centura PTO is selling The Medina Street Vault punch cards for $10. 100% of proceeds benefit Centura Elementary students. If you are interested in purchasing one contact Sara Bierhaus.

November 17-18, 2018
“SHOW” Middle school Youth Convention
Students 6-8 grade; Embassy Suites, Lavista NE.
Jenny & Scott Reynolds have offered to take the students to this event. If you are interested in attending, please speak with them or Pastor Brian. Middle school students and leaders are invited to come and learn from our theme which is centered on the word SHOW based on 2 Corinthians 3:3-6, you will spend the weekend learning that we SHOW that we are ‘a letter from Christ’ in what we sow, HOW we show love, and SO we are prepared to give a response in our daily lives. $90 per person plus lodging (Reg. by Sept. 30) Registration does include Sat. dinner and Sun. breakfast, snacks, speakers, talent show and games!
The middle school youth will be serving coffee fellowship on Sept. 23 and Oct. 28 to help defray the cost of the convention registration fees and hotel rooms.
Thank you to everyone who donated their money to help me and my friends go to the youth gathering in Omaha in November. The money will cover our rooms. We will serve again September 23 and October 28. God’s Blessings – Ethan Reynolds

Ways you can help with Junk Jaunt
*We need Pie Bakers once again this year!
Any flavor and however many you want to bake would be greatly appreciated (Last year we had 30+ pies donated)!
Please let the church office know how many and what flavors you are bringing.
Volunteers are needed for
Church Food Booth and ABC Junk Booth!!

Times we will need Volunteers at the Food Booth
• (Morning Set Up) 8 am – 12 pm
• (Busy Lunch rush) 10 am – 2 pm
• (Afternoon shift) 2-6 pm
• (Evening Clean Up) 5-8 pm.

Some of the FOOD Jobs needing to be filled
• Cash Register
• Sandwich makers
• Order Takers
• Pop/Brownie/Pie Runners
• Kitchen area – warm up Brisket / Pork
• Kitchen and Fellowship Hall Clean up
• Prepare and Pack in the Kitchen for Takeout Orders
• Runner for extra Meal Deal Bags
• Someone Wiping tables and keeping condiment table filled and clean.
• Trash Runners
• Meal Deal Sack Packers
• Brownie and Pie cutters and Packers

With many hands the job is easier we would like 6-8 people per shift. If you can work all day or only a couple of shifts that would be wonderful. Please let the church office what day and what shifts you would like to help with.

ABC Preschool/Daycare needs Volunteers from the church to HELP with the JUNK
• People to help PRICE (the items already here) and any that come in unmarked.
• Help MOVE the Junk tables out on Friday.

If you have items that you wish to donate, please bring them to the church PRICED. Let Sara or Robin at ABC know if you can help or you can let the church office know and I will let ABC know.

** Donations may be brought to the conference room anytime.
Please no OLD electronics ex/tv’s, computers, old gaming systems do not sell and are hard to dispose of. Thank You.
